In July 2016 our family stumbled upon one of nature's most brutal fights for survival - a tarantula hawk stinging a tarantula. It was the monsoon season in Tucson, Arizona and it had just rained. We were on our way to a wash near our house to see the water running. Chloe noticed the tarantula first, then we all saw what was happening. Chloe knew all about tarantula hawks because after one flew into our house one day, she looked up everything she could find about the creature that made her and her mom scream like babies. Chloe's dad immediately started filming and the rest is frozen in UA-cam history.
Facts:
- Chloe was 8 when this was filmed.
- We weren't filming for UA-cam, we were filming for us.
- Chloe was a huge fan of Coyote Peterson - duh.
- We're so thankful for the positive, encouraging comments. Thank you!!!
Before the amazing tarantula video, Chloe was already posting videos on Minecraft and Legos. We hope you enjoy all of her videos!

Command Block Creation - How to Summon Herobrine
3:55 no dad she not trying to lay her babies that would be risky when female tarantula hawks do that they trying to sting the tarantula soft spot then drag the tarantula to the nest THEN she lays the eggs literally the kid knows more then you he right on the gold
Kid was spot on the whole time
Tarantula hawks wouldnt last more than a minute with an old world
the tarantula hawk keeps stinging it so it gets paralyzed faster trust me
i hate tarantula hawk
Whoa what a Morbid Family lol That Kid talking… will end up a Serial Killer. Not a wildlife Expert…. Keep laughing ya’ll! The whole Family is LOVING it! Thank God i Live in Australia!
Wasp was saving its venom. Its alot of energy to produce such complex compounds, and she is injecting it a bit at a time, it would seem, so as not to kill the tarantula outright aswell
What an incredible thing to witness. Your kid is a champ, you should be proud, and fair play to you for nurturing such an interest!
Wasp: STOP RESISTING Spider: No, u.
Can you tell me the location
Hawk kept stinging because the tarantula was much bigger.. the more it stung the more the tarantula lost its power and the easier it was to drag it back to its nest
Yang bikin vidio setan iblis
So I get why it’s called a tarantula but what’s up w the hawk part of its name???
Who’s fault is it the humans fault. One boot crush and the wasp is dead. Even if the spider dies so does the wasp. Humans win 👶
So when do the humans interfere with nature and save the spider and squash the wasp with a boot. Oops not safe to buzz arounds giant humans lol
Be really careful with handling tarantulas. Especially new world terrestrial species. Not only are urticating hairs annoying and itchy, but they are incredibly fragile. A fall of 8-12 inches is more than enough to cause fatal abdominal injuries. Oh and the Tarantula Hawk also has the most painful sting of any hymenopteran. It's horrible. The only thing that keeps bullet ants ahead of it is the pain only lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
Thank you for posting that. It was horrifying but fascinating.
I never had a mom or dad that validated my thoughts like this. Good parents.
In a lot of these battles I think the wasp is stinging the spider a little here and there as the fight goes on. The spider starts slowing down, and ends up just standing there. Then the wasp can finish it off.
" It's trying to lay it's babies", not exactly over furnished in the brain department is he.
Dark Psy ops
Do yourself a favor and mute the video. THEN it is a good video.
タランチュラ弱すぎ
If I were there I would try to catch both of them
You guys would love cock fighting
a tarantula is paralised in 2 seconds or little more, and also the tarantula doesn't move because it has a poor vision, and it couldn't sting because it was hard to flip over the tarantula.
Ive seen plenty of tarantulas on my property and plenty of tarantula hawks on my property. Ive only seen this happen once. Its pretty cool.
Definitely was trying to keep his soft abdomen up from getting stung
That kid is cool. I’d hang out with this family anytime. Most people wouldn’t have clue what’s happening here.
Bouncing the video camera all over the place is very annoying.
Poor tarantula
"It's a video, sweetie" bro 😂
I'm coyote peterson, and I'm about to enter the sting zone.
Their harmless ffs.
did he said Karen?
These venomous little shits are such cowards, give me some paralyzing venom and I'll be god, fight me face to face without this bullshit
📣*IN THE RED CORNER. . .* Trantula Hawk! 📣*IN THE BLUE CORNER. . .* Trantula! 🛎*FIGHT!*🛎
Tarantula be like: "Hey, why you guys just standing there filming this shit?!! Help me out here!!!"
Shout out to the little kids that know everything. Quite a handful
Yea. This is what happens…… Karen.
Kinda sad but sadly it’s nature I think the Tera Tula should fight more
Monster bug wars omg love that kid, I watch that 😂 ✊🏻
So frustrating listening to the adults getting it all wrong, the tarantula is obviously making itself tall so it can’t be stung and the hawk is trying to sting it and like the kid says it will drag it to the nest to put the egg in it. The adults so so stupid
Smart kids mate haha I got lectured by them. :D Also the "you don't have to watch mommy" was adorable haha. :D
Fuc king kazadores
That kid is a full on scientist
The wasp wasn't trying to lay the egg, it stinged the tarantula during the first scuffle and then was trying to figure out if it was going to need a second sting or not. The venom is expensive for the wasp and a tarantula can easily kill her if it manages to bite it
Poor tarantula
She'll lay her egg on the tarantula and once the egg hatches the babies will eat the tarantula.
It is kinda sad but that tarantula has killed and eaten thousands of insects. NATURE!!
